BIOGRAPHY

Saeed Salehi is the professor of mechanical and civil engineering at Southern Methodist University and holds the Herman Brown Endowed Chair in Engineering. With over two decades of combined academic and industry experience, he leads the RESILIENT Lab at SMU, focused on advancing geothermal technologies in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Energy and industry partners.

Saeed has received several prestigious honors, including regional awards from the Society of Petroleum Engineers for drilling engineering, environmental and social responsibility, and distinguished achievement in petroleum engineering education.
